- Preheat the oven to 400ºF. Lightly oil the sheet tray. Cut the broccoli florets into 1-inch pieces then place in the medium bowl. Add 2 teaspoons of oil plus the cheesy garlic oil. Mix well then spread onto the prepared sheet tray and place in oven. Roast for 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through the cooking time.
- While the broccoli is roasting, cook the pasta. In the medium pot, bring 2 quarts of water and a 1/2 teaspoon of salt to boil. Stir in the pasta and boil for 3-4 minutes, or until al dente. Reserve a 1/4 cup of cooking liquid then drain the pasta.
- Place the large sauté pan on medium heat, then add 2-3 teaspoons of olive oil. Place the ground beef into the pan and begin to break it apart with the spoon as it cooks. Season with 1/4 teaspoon of salt and a dash of pepper. Continue cooking for 2-3 more minutes.
- Now add the tomato sauce to the pan plus the 1/4 cup of reserved pasta water. Bring the sauce to a low boil then stir in the cooked pasta. Simmer for 1-2 minutes more. Please turn off all heating elements.
- Divide the beef ragu pasta between two shallow bowls. Serve the cheesy roasted broccoli on the side. Buona mangia!
