Chimichurri Steak with French Potato Salad-Premium
Cooking instructions
Remove the steaks from the packaging and pat dry. Season generously with salt and pepper. Set aside until Step 4.
Wash the Yukon potatoes, then cut into 1/4-inch slices. Place the sliced potatoes into the medium pot, cover with cold water, and add a pinch of salt. Place the pot of potatoes over high heat and bring to a boil. Once the water is boiling, lower the heat to medium and continue to cook until the potatoes are just tender enough to be pierced with a fork, about 15 minutes. Once the potatoes are done cooking, drain the water using the strainer, then rinse the potatoes under cold water to cool.
While the potatoes are cooking, wash the snap peas and bell pepper. Trim the ends of the snap peas, then cut the peas and bell pepper into bite-sized pieces. Add the cut vegetables, cooked potatoes, and the French Potato Salad Dressing to the medium bowl and mix well. Set aside until plating.
Place the medium sauté pan on medium-high heat for 3 minutes. Add 2–3 teaspoons of high-heat cooking oil, then heat for 1 more minute. The pan should be very hot before you put the meat in for proper browning. Carefully place the seasoned steaks in the pan. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side based on the thickness of the meat and your desired wellness (longer cooking times needed for medium to medium-well steaks). The minimum safe internal temperature is 145°F. Turn off all heating elements. The steaks are also great when prepared on a grill over medium-high heat!
To plate your meal, divide the potato salad between two plates. Add a steak, then top with the chimichurri.
