Overview
Tender beef tenderloin seasoned with Prefare dry rub then grilled or pan-seared to perfection. Served over a crisp romaine Caesar salad with ripe tomatoes, carrots, and grated Parmesan. Crunchy, garlic butter ciabatta completes the masterpiece.
Cooking instructions
- Wash and dry the romaine lettuce and tomatoes. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Cut the tomatoes in half. In the medium bowl, mix the cut vegetables, Caesar dressing and Parmesan cheese together. Set aside until plating.
- Remove the beef steaks from the package, pat dry then season both sides with the steak spice (use less for lower sodium option). Place the sauté pan on medium-high heat and add 2-3 teaspoons of high-heat oil. Preheat for 4 minutes, or until the pan is very hot. Gently place the steak in the pan and cook each side for 2-3 minutes based on desired internal temperature. Let the cooked meat rest for 3 minutes prior to cutting.
- While the steak is cooking, heat the ciabatta bread in the toaster until desired crispiness. Spread the cut side with the garlic butter. Please turn off all heating elements.
- Divide the salad between two dinner plates. Add the steak and crunchy garlic bread then dig in.
