Preheat oven to 400ºF. Cut the ciabatta in half and toast in the oven for 3-4 minutes. Once hot, spread with the garlic butter.
Place the large sauté pan over medium-high heat, then add 2-3 teaspoons of olive oil. Preheat for 2 minutes then add the Calabrian chili sausage to the pan. Break it apart with the spoon as it cooks. Continue cooking for 3-4 more minutes until the meat begins to brown.
While the meat is browning place the medium pot on high heat with 4 cups of water and a 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Once boiling, add the fresh pasta and cook for 3-4 minutes. Reserve a 1/4 cup of cooking liquid then drain well.
Now add the Bolognese sauce to the sauté pan with the sausage plus add in the pasta water from Step 3. Mix well and bring to a low simmer for 3-4 minutes. (If the sauce is boiling and sticking to the pan, lower the burner to medium.) Stir in the cooked pasta then remove from the burner. Please turn off all heating elements.
To serve, divide the pasta between two plates. Sprinkle on the parmesan cheese and enjoy garlic bread on the side!
